Stoner's back!

Australia's MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner kept Valentino Rossi behind him at Donington Park to win the British Grand Prix for the second year in a row yesterday.
The Ducati rider, who started on pole for only the second time this season, crossed the line 5.789 seconds ahead of championship leader Rossi to seal his second win of the year and go third in the overall standings. Rossi beat Dani Pedrosa to secure 2nd in his 200th race, with the injured Jorge Lorenzo finishing a brave 6th, after starting 13th. Rossi extended his overall lead over Pedrosa to 11 points while Stoner moved ahead of Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo, 45 poin! ts behind the four-times champion after eight races. There is suddenly a spring in Stoner's step, and it's not going to be leaving the Rossi or Pedrosa camps feeling very comfortable.
